Sharing a gift I made for my friend's birthday.......................

I got the patterns from Natalie Birds book: "With Needle & Thread" I used French General fabric to go with the cushion I made for my friend at Christmas (sorry no photo) & this quilt that is on her bed .

Next is a quilt I have finished for Megan. Made for The Country Yard as a shop sample .

Not sure if can see, but Megan made a red peeper & attached at the very edge, the binding is sewn on top, so when the binding is stitched down you will see a snippet of red.Maybe if you click on the photo's you will see?

I had fun 'doodling'...................................

reaaranging & a new baby

Bonnie Hunter is having a "What's on Your Bed" linky thing, I saw it & thought why not! So come with me into my bedroom.......................................

This is my husbands favourite quilt called "Breast of Friends". This was designed by several Australian designers to raise money for Breast cancer. The patterns were published in the Australian Homespun Magazine over several months. You can go here to read more about it & an other I quilted for one of my lovely customers.
The Grandmothers Garden quilt is one I bought from an Antique store in the Bay of Islands. You can read more about that one here.
Please check out what others have on their beds over at Bonnie's linky thingie!

I had a change around in the lounge the other day too &  I thought I could share with you too. Buggy Barn "quilters Village" on the quilt rack I made, Lynette Anderson's 2011 Button Mystery BOM "My Garden", Whimsical's quilt over the treadle, Helen Stubbing's "Stitching Round the Block" cushion, my snowman, Whimsical "dream" cushion & a Christmas present cushion from Raewyn.  And needlecase made by Megan on the blue spool draws.

I have a new granddaughter that was born this morning, no name has been chosen yet so I can't send the quilt I have had made for a couple weeks, I need to write her name on the label.

Welcome April!
I like this quilt, not the colours but the pattern.

This is a Lynette Anderson pattern called : "Orange Tree Cushion" I finished this week as a sample for The Country Yard.

The back of the cushion.
And when I loaded the photo's I spotted my booboo..............take a look at the blue daisies..................

NO french knots!!!!!!!

Now these are my Angel Story blocks so far....................

Pot plant Penelope

This was a very popular BOM a few years ago, designed by Annie Downs. I bought the book, a Jelly roll, charm pack & co coordinating fabrics. You won't see this finished any day soon, but I am enjoying stitching away in the evenings. The flowers in this block were meant to be just stitched daisies, but I wanted to try my hand at English daisies using wool felt.

Millicent the Magnificent Mum
Hettie at the Hat Shop
Again this block was meant to have stitched daisies, but I did some English daisies, I like the texture.
Last but not least a book finish for me.....................

Wishing you all a hopping good Easter!
