I finished this stitchery a while ago, I got the pattern from The Australian Homespun magazine #84. This a Natalie Lymer design. When I first saw it I immediately thought of a friend of mine who is nearly self sufficient, she grows the most yummy potatoes! She is not a quilter...but we can forgive her for that :-)
Anyway I thought rather than a wall hanging, as Natalie has done for the magazine, I made a bag........
I bought this courgette fabric a few years ago in Wellington, never sure what I was going to do with it.
I also had bought this seed packet fabric, which I have used down the sides and for pockets inside and out.
I thought she might like it when she shops at the markets...for produce she doesn't grow!
Oh Leeanne, how super cute!
ReplyDeleteI am sure she will just love it! And maybe you'll get some fresh veggies in return! :)
Oh I hadn't thought of that! Her potatoes are the best I've ever tasted.
ReplyDeleteYour stichery is wonderful. Did you design that yourself?
ReplyDeleteGreat bags - love the seed fabric - am looking for some to make a garden hanging. Your friend will be pleased.
