Ileen is a new customer and has made this quilt (96" square) for one of her Granddaughters 21st present. The only request was she wanted a "Manaia Bird" --Maori carving . So I made friends with Google and got to making a stencil.

There is over 30 hours of quilting.

Using Madeira's Poly Neon, Sulky threads.

I used a Poly Neon variegated thread to create the  paua eyes .

My Great niece is having her birthday next month so I thought it would be nice to give her a quilt.
