More quilts and The Country Yard

Last year I finished a cute quilt for one of my customers, but I forgot to take a photo! A first for me. I told my customer Pam what I did, she said that she had taken some photo's.........great I said! Could you please email the photo's? Well Pam's reaction was quite funny! Basically that was something that didn't come on to her list of skills. Oh Pam said........" just take my camera home!!!" So that is what I did today.

Thanks Pam!

I like to call this one 'Autumn by the Sea' as the aqua's & burnt oranges & the fact that this quilt is for someone's holiday home at the beach ( AKA 'a bach ).
I used 'Glide' thread doing straight lines followed by an echo, creating squares.  I used a new batting to the shop called 'soft & Bright', a poly batting.

I have quilted quite a few other quilts, but I can't show you yet as they are being kept for The Country Yard's new years launch. This day is always buzzing with new idea's, kits, BOM's, mysteries, fabric's patterns & more! If you are in northland on the 16th of March come along for a fun morning, stop awhile to take all the goodies in with complementary morning tea, set on stunning country garden!

  2. I really like how you took the time to enclose each square in itself instead of just echoing the longer lines all the way across. It's a subtle difference, but it yields an effect that's so much nicer.

  6. Good to see Pam's quilt (finally) - doesn't it look great?!! The quilting is effective on the bach quilt... neat to see what straight lines can do! What did you think of that batting?
