Customer quilts..................
Another busy week in the Quiltme studio. I have a very special quilt to show, but that will have to be for another post as the quilt is now winding it's way back.
First is the quilt Lois made for her friends one year old daughter. Lois is fondly known as 'the cat lady'............here's why.............
I have quilted several quilts for Lois & most feature cats. Lois asked for simple quilting. So a looping stipple on the border , curling ribbon & plenty of ditch stitching.
Look at this cute little face!
Lois found the perfect fabric for the backing...................................
Next up is Jenny's wall hanging. Purchased as a BOM from The Country Yard a couple of years ago.
A combination of stitchery, applique, piecing & English paper piecing. Designed by Helen Stubbings of Hugs and Kisses.
Until next time......................................................
Hi Leeanne ... yes I find cat things very popular in the Cottage also, lots of people love them. I especially love the table runner, I love Helen Stubbings patterns. The fabrics & design on that one is stunning & I adore how you have quilted it. Happy weekend to you :-)
ReplyDeleteHey you are a busy busy girl.
ReplyDeleteGood on you and love the work, and good on Jenny for a finish. Catch up this week(I Hope!!)
If that's the Lois I'm thinking of.... I stood beside her at Symposium and caught her buying... you guessed it... more cat fabric! Lovely quilts and quilting.
ReplyDeleteYour quilting is as lovely as ever. Love the teeny hexagons on the wall hanging. Hope you had a relaxing weekend.
ReplyDeleteI'm super dooper excited about the special quilt !! !! !!
ReplyDeleteCan we wait until it is handed over before we blog about it .. .. ..
You've certainly been busy. I'm glad you found time for a visit to mine. Looking forward to seeing special quilt!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous quilts and quilting, I love the wall hanging, reminds me that I have that pattern!!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing your quilting detail. I love getting ideas from other people's work.
ReplyDeleteThat cat quilt is similar to one my Mom just made. She is a cat lady, too. : )
Cute kitties ... which reminds me I have some cat fabric that needs to become a quilt :)
ReplyDeleteI love the cattie quilt, but the wallhanging I love most. It looks like an embroidery sampler. I never saw this pattern before. And as always, very beautiful quilting!
ReplyDeleteHave a lovely day, Cisca
Two lovely works of art... the detail in the wallhanging is beautiful, and I do love the verse!
ReplyDeleteThe cat-lady strikes again :-) I can imagine the 1 yo will absolutely love this - gorgeous cat quilt. And the sampler too is lovely, a real work of art. The quilting just sets it off beautifully.
