Hi there blog readers! Just wanted to share a few photo's of the Whangarei Patchworkers & Quilters Club exhibition.
The Country Yard (the shop I work at part time) was one of five Merchants selling their wears.
As I entered the Forum North building, to my delight was a little car covered with a quilt, especially made to keep the car cosy!
Apparently this quilt was borrowed from another club in the South Island. Even the bunting worked wonders to catch the eye of folks walking about.
After setting up our temporary shop on the Thursday afternoon I took a few photo's.
On the Saturday when Raewyn & I were on duty, I demonstrated how to use the Apliquick tools. I also managed a very quick dash around to have a look at the quilts, here are some photo's of the ones that caught my eye.

There was a section that had items made from shirts, I believe it was a club challenge? I loved this one.

These two quilts were opposite our shop, they were really beautiful.
For more on the show see Ms Lottie's blog & Leanne's blog, Quilt Whangarei for more photo's.
I will be back next week with a lovely customer quilt that is finished but awaiting her to pick up. Until then, have a happy time stitching up a storm with your best friend or just yourself! Thanks for stopping by.................................
Dress is by Gaye Miller and the Kangaroo & Rooster are by Sonya Prchal.
ReplyDeleteYour last pic gives me a good reason for not clearing assorted junk off my table!
Great photos Leeanne.....I loved the shirt DRESS also was very clever. And Mr Rooster really owns his space....he is awesome. xxxx
ReplyDeleteLove it all Leeanne - that car quilt is just amazing - your booth looked wonderful & I would love to just stroll in & buy some supplies :-) That dress ... is it to be worn or is it wall art??? Cos its just fabulous. I loved this post ... & perhaps that's you & me under the table in the end pic. But where is all the fabric on the table along with the books ???!!!
ReplyDeleteHe he love the last pic :-) A lovely show - there were some real beauties there weren't there? Thanks for your company 'behind the counter'!
ReplyDeleteI think I would love shopping at The Country Yard!
ReplyDeleteOh, my, those animal quilts look like paintings!
Love that last picture. : )
That car cover quilt is brilliant fun :)
ReplyDeleteI think that's the most photographed car ever! It wasn't there on Friday, which was a shame, I would have loved to see it. The mini shop looks very quiet there, but it was bustling when I went through. And I want to be one of those friends under the table!
ReplyDeleteIsn't that car fantastic. The shop setup looked great, you and Raewyn really have the dream job don't you!
