That's the name of Barbara's beautiful quilt. The design is by Barbara Brackman. This was put together as an online week - by - week sew along. See here.
No more sneak peeks, this quilt is all finished and at home with its maker and owner.
The bulk of the fabrics are French General, from several different ranges with a few others thrown in the mix, they work well. The batting was bamboo/cotton, I used only a couple of different threads. Measures 86" x 86".
Lot and lots of ditch stitching went into this quilt, but well worth the effort as it makes the blocks more crisp and defined.
this house block makes me think of Little House on The Prairie! |
Each week those participating were faced with several different techniques, but Barbara is not shy of a few challenges!
happy Sunbonnet Sue! |
Barbara seems happy to let my creative juices run to full force, with only a couple of consultations of choices for the sashings and border, thank you for the trust Barbara.

Are you still with me? Lots of photo's! I hope you are enjoying what you are seeing. Only a few more to go.
A nice big spiral in each outer corner stone to finish the quilt off.

Awesome quilting Leeanne. Loving it. Can't wait until Mountmellick gets this close to done! :-) I have a question about the pebbles....I chanced upon a discussion about spaced pebbles this morning on a blog. The effect is cool, just wondering if you have done this effect before? Here's the link...http://cadouri-din-inima.blogspot.co.nz/2014/08/how-to-quilt-spaced-pebbles.html
