Goodbye 2015 quilting.............................

Hello again happy people (well I sure hope you are happy!)
Today I share the last two quilts for 2015. Both were all over quilting designs (E2E) both for little people of the world.

Marcelle has been at it again making scrumptious quilts to give as gifts for new born babies. This one is for a baby due to arrive at the start of January. The quilt is called Polaroid Quilt  using Sarah Jane's fabrics called "Wee Wander".

Marcelle wanted an all over quilting design, I chose a pantograph pattern by Lorien Quilting called "Esplalier" which just seemed perfect for this quilt, soft and floaty, the thread is a Madeira poly neon a mix of very soft muted pastels and the batting is a Wool/poly mix.

Marcelle made use of the leftovers by making a pieced backing.

I loved these fabrics so much that I purchased some for myself!

Next is a sweet and ever so soft cot quilt made as a sample for The Country Yard . These are available as kits from the shop, they even include the matching flannel backing fabric!

Made from a super soft flannel cot panel, then bordered with a heart print and a cute stripe. I used another pantograph pattern from Lorien Quilting called "Amour", open floaty interlocking hearts!

I took a few close up photo's before I started quilting so you can see the lovely sketched look of the wee baby animals........

With the last of the quilts for the year done I am looking forward to a small break from quilting for others to quilt some of my own quilt tops ( which I will happily share with you here on my blog and Facebook), time with my granddaughter, spending time with my father who is trying to adapt to not having his wife of nearly 60 years by his side. Simply taking time to smell the roses.

I would like to take this chance to say a big thank you for your continued support and business, so many of you have been with me from the very beginning of this amazing quilting journey and I am thrilled and honoured to still be called upon as 'your quilter'.
