Stephanie's quilt is a wonderful display of some clever stash busting.
Stephanie asked for custom quilting, we discussed several options, the rest was left to the quilters artistic interpretations of the quilts style.
After all the necessary ditch stitching was completed it was time for the quilting of leafy vines, swirls, feathers, flower details and ribbon candy.
The thread I used for all this detail quilting was 'Unicorn' a Fantastico thread by Superior Threads.
Thank you Stephanie, I think it's fair to say we make a good team!
Ending this post with a little collage of scenes from my garden today..........................

ReplyDeleteWell, IMHO the "quilter's" interpretation was spot on, as usual!

ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful quilt. Love those colours and your custom quilting.
ReplyDeleteShe had some lovely scraps! Beautifully fresh and relaxing quilt and I love your quilting, especially in those oblong flower blocks. Flowers in the garden - just look at that magnolia!! We're thinking about adding one or two in our back garden.
ReplyDeleteThis is an amazing piece. Love the bright colours Janine has used. Your quilting certainly makes the birds pop. Is the background wool/felt? Do you have to treat it differently as opposed to quilting cotton.
