an end to the mystery

The Country Yard had another mystery stitchery this year and I did the quilting. I used a stencil & some of my favourite threads, Madeira Polyneon's & Gunold

Mmmmm winter my favourite time of the year!!

 The stitcheries where done with Aurifil 12 weight variegated thread and Nancy Halvorsen range of fabrics. The design is exclusive to The Country Yard.

This is the stencil design I used for the large squares, then I modified the design to fit the triangles next to the season stitcheries.

The vines have sweet little YoYo's that were added after I quilted.

Girly quilt

I was battling the wind the day I took this photo, hence it not being square!
This quilt is made for a sample for The Country Yard , purely as inspiration for a lovely fabric range by Nancy Halvorsen called : " Curiosities" .

Using Madeira polyneon threads with a few simple quilting designs, has created a lovely row quilt perfect for a girl.

Ngaire has made this quilt for a friend who is mad on dogs, Ngaire has appliqued different breeds of dogs.
Look at the backing, isn't it perfect!

I watched a DVD the other night called 'Akeelah and the Bee' and this saying was read out that I thought was very thought provoking, I will leave you with it.

Mid winter Christmas!
This lovely quilt was designed by the country yard for a pieced mystery and I was lucky enough to quilt one of the samples.Simple clever setting in lovely fabrics by Nancy Halverson.

Using my stash of Maderia poly neon threads I played!
