Another quilt sample finished for The Country Yard . Made with one charm pack - 1862 Battle Hymn by Moda, a Primitive Muslin for the background, sashing & border fabric. I made the pinwheels using the Missouri Star Quilt Company tutorial .......super fast......super fun!!
This was a quick one to quilt, I especially like the ribbon quilting on the cream sashing. This design would work well on many quilt styles. I thought of tank tracks when I was quilting it......great for a boys quilt. Of course, so right for a pretty quilt too!
I made a pieced backing, you can see the quilting quite well here & the blue sky!
Ok don't you just love these sideways photo's!!!! LOL! This quilt was made by Barbara, it is Barbara's first big quilt, and it is big! Pattern by Buggy Barn called : "Quilters Village". Aren't Barbara's choice of fabrics great! I used a Gunold vareigated thread for the meander, Maderia Poly Neon for the hook feather on the border, cotton/bamboo batting.
My quilting instructions were to please quilt as I did on my own one.......see here .
Thank you Barbara!
