Fairies, Spiderman, witches and the Hulk..................

Two of these characters are on quilts the others are in a photo, that later, first the quilts because that's what you are here for.

Colleen's granddaughter is going to be one happy little poppet as will her dolls. Colleen sewed a peeper onto this pretty fairy panel then popped a border on it and asked me to quilt it for her. I used my nice fine thread and quilted my free hand swirls and feathers.....which by the way are so relaxing to quilt. Then for the border my swirly feathery border treatment. Lucky dolls to have their very own quilt!

I fell head over heals for the pretty backing fabric.................................

Colleen also has a grandson that isn't too keen on fairies, but LOVES Spiderman and when Colleen saw how I quilted Liz's grandson's Spiderman quilt (see here) she asked me to please do the same.

Colleen's version is smaller than Liz's but it still has plenty of 'punch', 'Kapow', 'Bam', 'Wham 'etc.......

Another SUPER backing for a Superhero! Thank you Colleen, I would love to be there to see your grandkids faces when you give these two fabulous quilts to them.

I found a couple of old photo's, one of my kids dressed up ready for trick or treating...........................

Such fun! Then the following one of me when I was a bit smaller and my mates! That's one of my nieces in the pram, she is now well into her 30's!

Apparently the "Hulk" was big this year! Green didn't suit my complexion so I stuck with being a witch. Happy Halloween and for good measure "Go the All Blacks!!"

  1. Gorgeous old photos Leeanne. Halloween is slowly coming into fashion here in N.Z. The new quilts are lovely - makes me think I could do a panel quilt for Alec when he is a little older & has favourite characters.
