Thanks Natalie............

I finished this stitchery a while ago, I got the pattern from The Australian Homespun magazine #84. This a Natalie Lymer design. When I first saw it I immediately thought of a friend of mine who is  nearly self sufficient, she grows the most yummy potatoes! She is not a quilter...but we can forgive her for that :-)
Anyway I thought rather than a wall hanging, as Natalie has done for the magazine, I made a bag........

I bought this courgette fabric a few years ago in Wellington, never sure what I was going to do with it.

I also had bought this seed packet fabric, which I have used down the sides and for pockets inside and out.
I thought she might like it when she shops at the markets...for produce she doesn't grow!

  1. Oh Leeanne, how super cute!
I am sure she will just love it! And maybe you'll get some fresh veggies in return! :)

  2. Oh I hadn't thought of that! Her potatoes are the best I've ever tasted.

  3. Your stichery is wonderful. Did you design that yourself?

  4. Great bags - love the seed fabric - am looking for some to make a garden hanging. Your friend will be pleased.
