New Zealand is mourning and in shock after a terrorist attack on Friday. Such sad and horrific events that have created strong emotions that have rippled through our country and through the world.
Thankfully there are many many wonderful stories of heroism, love and help pouring in. As a community of quilters we do what little we can by making heart blocks that will then be made into quilts to be gifted to the families. Please see the link below if you would like to help.

  1. Two beautiful quilts Leeanne. Feeling very sad about Christchurch, I cannot believe something like that could happen in NZ. Will try and make some blocks tomorrow.

  2. When I saw that first quilt what came to my mind was "Speak words of love". And the second quilt is an understated beauty of soft tones, beautifully quilted. It looks like something that would have been on a bed in my great aunt's old farmhouse with the cottage gardens surrounding it.
Thank you for the info on the heart blocks so we can do something for those affected by the senseless tragedy in New Zealand. It seems to be everywhere now. How do we stop the hate??
