Hello Quilty Friends!
I have been busy quilting for many people, Julie of Sublime Stitchery & another Julie, no shop but a lovely BLOG are my most recent jobs. Both ladies have designed their own quilts. I strongly believe we have clever quilters here in little New Zealand!

Leeanne.
Love the quilting on mine and the purchased piece is lovely, more ideas for me to play with.
ReplyDeleteWow Leeanne - its all about the Julie's in this post!!
ReplyDeleteTwo obviously very talented ladies - those quilts are stunning. And the idea of the quilted fat quarters really appeals to me too. I have been over to Julies website & signed up for her newsletters. I can see why the quilt show appealed so much - just amazing. Luckily I wasn't with you as we may have been "fighting" over the piece you purchased - it is so lovely.
(I have made a note of some of those E2E designs for my future quilts) 😉
You've had such a busy week! I love my Kaha means Courage quilt and I've already started using the fat quarters! Much love and thanks to you, Julie
ReplyDeleteGreat to see you on Friday Leeanne, thanks for delivering my quilts. Love Love Love your work.
ReplyDeleteMuch to enjoy here. But I have to say that I loved the quilted FQ idea. This past week I was at an all day sew-in and a couple of the ladies were cutting bag parts out of a couple of yards that one of them had quilted on her longarm before coming. The "backing" was a coordinating fabric, so they could make the outside of the bag from either side, and have some of the smaller pieces be the reverse side. It looked like such a slick way to get several cute bags cut out and assembled relatively quickly.
