Simple Pleasures....................................

Life is full of simple pleasures if you look. A flower, a kitten, a sunrise and of course a quilt!

Anni Downs is the designer of this sweet quilt, it is from her booklet "Simple Pleasures". A booklet jam packed with cute little stitcheries that can be used in a multitude of ways, including this quilt, measuring 34" x 40". Kerryn made this for a sample for her shop The Country Yard , available as a kit.

I stitched in the ditches & around the wee stitcheries, cross hatched the four patch blocks, quilted a feather in the blue setting triangles using Madeira poly neon in a rich gold/yellow, followed by the ever faithful stipple on the border, over cotton batting.

To see more of Ann's designs that I have quilted see here , here, here, here and here!

l this weekend I am off to an annual quilting/patchwork retreat, to say I am looking forward to it is an understatement!

This will be our view! Not bad if I do say so. Pop over to this post to see last years retreat. Here's to another fabulous 'heads-down-get-heaps-of projects-going-and-many-laughs'.
Of course it is Mothers Day here in New Zealand on Sunday........have a restful day all Mothers, you deserve it!
