Muffins, Wendy Briggs, Kathy Schmitz & kiwiana

Raspberry, banana and white chocolate muffins! Does this sound yummy? Fancy making some for yourself...................because licking the screen doesn't work!

Quiltmekiwi's Raspberry Banana White Chocolate Muffins.

2 1/2 cups flour
3 teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon baking soda
3/4 cup sugar
3/4 cup white chocolate chips, or buttons chopped
1 cup milk
1/4 cup yoghurt ~ I used vanilla
125g butter ~ melted
2 eggs
1 cup frozen raspberries
2 banana's ~ mashed

Preheat oven to 180 C. Line muffin tray with paper cases.
Sift flour, baking powder and baking soda into a large bowl. Stir in sugar, white chocolate bits and raspberries.
In large pyrex jug whisk together milk, eggs, butter and yoghurt. Mix the wet ingredients carefully through the dry ingredients, spoon into lined muffin pan and cook for about 15 - 20 minutes.
Make a coffee or tea and eat your yummy muffins!

Does anyone remember the designer Wendy Briggs? An Australian designer, who doesn't seem to be designing any longer, which is such a shame as I love her naive/rustic stitcheries. I do have patterns for some of her stitcheries that were put together as a Block of the Month by Cottage Flair many years ago.

My first block completed! I have a delicious fat quarter bundle by Kathy Schmitz called : "Piecemakers", one can't keep the fabric in a pretty bundle forever! So the cutting began.

Using Cottage Garden thread "Lyrebird Walk" and Aurifil in brown and tan. I am calling this Wendy Briggs Piecemakers. Real genius of me I know!

I finished quilting up a Kiwiana cot panel as a shop sample for The Country Yard in between a custom quilting job.

A loose meander/stipple over poly batting, then a leaf vine for the border, I made and attached the stripy binding ready to be hand stitched in place.

The backing was fun, frogs playing musical instruments!

Wishing you a happy Sunday!
