Hello Quilty Friends!

I'm happy to have you back for what is the last post for 2025.

We all say how quickly the year has gone, but where did it go?

Was it a good one for you? I think mine was, or atleast parts were,

 the rest can go wherever the odd socks go!

As I'm writing this I have just finished that last quilt for the year. I didn't want any customer quilts hanging out over the holidays. I can start 2026 with a clean slate.

Measurements - 60"x 72"

Quilting - E2E Quilting - Garden Snails in the Yard.

Backing - Rabbit Blush - Purchased from me.

Quilt Information:

Pattern - Twirling at the Disco by Samelias Mum.

Measurements - 61"x 61"

Quilting - E2E Quilting - Dreaming.

Batting - Wool/polyester - Purchased from me.

Backing - Supplied by Marcelle.

Threads - Glide - Peacock (T) Linen (B)

Marcelle will make the three pieces into a cushion.

Quilt Information:

Pattern - Unknown to me. Marcelle will make this into a cushion.

Measurements - 16" x 16" plus cross hatched pieces for the cushion back.

Backing - Rabbit Blush - Loaded at the end of the Hodgepodge Quilt.

We are very fortunate & grateful to have a regular visitor to our garden,

 sometimes there's a pair. 

 New Zealand Native wood pigeon - Kereru. 

They are big graceful birds that feed on the Kawakawa seeds. 

I absolutely adore watching them.

Ready for some more quilty eye candy?

 I have two VERY different quilts to share today, plus a new wide backing fabric and a new Kiwiana themed quilt listed for sale.

You are not foolish for feeling a touch of  'De ja vu' from seeing this quilt because I quilted another 'Flash Cat Medallion'' quilt for Juliet about this time last year, here is the post if you fancy a looksie!

Pam pieced the backing incorporating some vintage linens.

Did you know the wide backing fabrics I stock are very good quality, so good in fact they are the same thread count as good quality patchwork fabric so the off cuts can be used in the front of quilts as well.

* I have quilted many of Juliet's quilts including all but one quilt for her Animal Quilts Book and all have been custom quilted. This time we decided to try E2E (edge to edge) Quilting mainly because of time restraints. But we are both super happy with how the quilt turned out.
