Is spring in full force or what? Every year at this time I forget how changeable the weather can be. 
Cold, hot (or is that just my hot flushes?), rainy, windy, you name it seems to happen & I forget that this is perfectly normal spring weather.
 If you know me even a tiny wee bit, I'm sure you know winter is my favourite season - BUT spring is  special to me too because everything in the garden & nature comes alive! On the weekend I met up with a friend at Waitangi Mountain Bike Park to join in the female social ride that Paihia Mountain Bikes had organised. What an awesome day of fun, friendship & MUD! Pikiniki Cafe was open & kept us fuelled with coffee & delicious food.

Now having a hubby that is a school teacher has meant there are frequent holidays. Over the years I use to carry on working with maybe a week off here & there, but now days I find myself taking the same time off too. I must confess I have come to enjoy it! 
Below is a montage of some recent holiday happenings:


 I hope you all had a good Easter break, here in the north island of New Zealand there was a wild storm. Sadly we had a our beautiful red Rhododendron blown over & broken by high winds & no power for 24hrs. The Easter bunny was reported to still get through, although not to my house??




I've managed a few knitting projects too & reading!
