Quilting for Dorothy, Kerry & Linda

Hello 2024!

It's February & I'm only just geared up ready for my first blog post of the year.

You may remember my last post (20th December) I shared seven of my customer Dorothy's quilts from a pile of ten she had sent for quilting. Dorothy received the seven quilts I managed to get quilted before I finished for the year. And now I have recently finished the other three & she has had them delivered (thanks NZPost).

My holidays consisted of sewing, knitting, road trips, biking & other odds & ends.

I found a good place for my knitting pattern while travelling.

 

On one of our biking trips I saw this amazing HUGE rock,
I asked hubby if he could bring it home for the garden.......he tried! 😄

I finished another quilt for my SHOP - it's bold & bright, I'm hoping someone will love it!

Quilting for Dorothy & Merry Christmas!

Hello Quilty friends!

Welcome back for my last post for 2023.

Another year another wrinkle 😄

Dorothy is a customer from Taranaki, another part of the north island of New Zealand, about an eight hour drive. Anyway for the last few years Dorothy has been sending me quilt tops in bulk!

Anything from six to ten quilt tops.

This year it was ten quilt tops. I promised I would get as many quilted before I finished quilting for the year. I quilted seven. They are all back (thank you NZPost!) with Dorothy as she now begins her mammoth binding expedition. 

I won't share every photo and video I took, if you want more eye candy you will have to trot over to either my Instagram or Facebook pages. Let me know what you think.

No Madeira threads were harmed in the quilting of this top.

this one was special to me, those of you who know me, will know why.

Cool wedding cake house! I think it is cat & her hubbies! Can you see I quilted "Here comes the bride"

The back! Each participant put a sigi block in as well.

 

Years from now this will hold some special memories for Cat.

I will leave you with a couple more pincushions I finished last night while watching American Idol.
