Quilting for Juliet of The Tartan Kiwi.....................

Once again I was delighted when Juliet asked me if I would custom quilt another of her clever and fabulous foundation paper pieced quilts! Remember in 2017 I quilted samples for Juliet's book? See my blog posts: here - here - here for just some of the quilts, there have been many quilty pleasures with Juliet over the years. She is such a talented designer.
Juliet can be found here and if I'm wrong hopefully she will correct me when I say the following quilt will be a Sew-Along at some point.

Quilt Information:

Pattern - Flash Cat Medallion by The TartanKiwi.
Measurements - 80" x 80"
Batting - Cotton - Purchased from me.
Backing - Kaffe Fassett Blue & teal - Purchased from me.
Quilting - Custom Quilting.
Threads - Glide.

Juliet is another one of my many customers that gives me free artistic licence - it works best that way.

Animal Quilts..........final quilt

Welcome back to the last quilt from Juliet's book that I quilted. So although it's last in the series it is be no means least!

Howl is on page 102 of Juliet's book. This was the first one I quilted for the book. Most times Juliet leaves it up to me how to quilt her stunning creations but this time Juliet wanted me to portray a 'night sky'...................

Guess what...............no photo of the backing! Arrrgg.......sorry! This was the largest of the quilts that featured in the book. I hope you have enjoyed seeing the details of these spectacular quilts as much as I have seeing them all over again.

My daughter sent me this photo of Marley my grandson (7 weeks old) having tummy time on the quilt I made for him. Just seeing him makes me miss him even more!

Animal quilts - series five.............................

Welcome back time for another two quilts from Juliet's book. First up is the Clydesdale Horse.

Sadly another one I missed taking a photo of the back. Juliet supplied some fabulous backing fabrics for all these quilts. As a horse lover and former horse owner I did love this small piece which is ironic as the piece measured 21" x 14" but real life Clydesdale's are much bigger than that!
Next Tiger..................look out he's coming your way!

Isn't the background fabric magic! I tried to quilt the look of long reed grasses...............................

                                                    Whalaaa...........a photo of the backing!

One more to share with you in another post. While sewing the binding on a quilt yesterday a had company..................
