Yes happy quilting friends the time is coming, Christmas!
Marcelle raided her Christmas fabric stash to make this Christmas tablecloth. Marcelle asked for no batting, so we have just the backing and top of the quilt.
I quilted an all over quilting design of curling ribbon.
Marcelle pieced a backing using up this fun border fabric.
Next is another Christmas quilt made by Marcelle. This one is a lovely stitchery quilt designed by Helen Stubbings called "Twas the Night before Christmas".
Marcelle did an excellent job of the stitching, she used Hugs and Kisses Cottage Garden Thread. Marcelle asked me to custom quilt this for her. Quilted over cotton batting, using maderia poly neon threads, this quilt measures 30" x 41".
So once again the feathers creep their way into my designs! I hope you like looking at them.
Some clouds, pebbling and a mix of background feathers to add another level of interest to an already interesting quilt. All the pieced blocks were ditch stitched.
This quilt just oozes Christmas cheer! I can see this quilt hanging and being enjoyed year after year.
Isn't Marcelle's
As well as a beautiful front, the back has been beautifully pieced!
Thank you Marcelle, may you and your family have many many happy Christmas'.
What a fun quilt! : )
