Theodore Cleave & Lynette Anderson
Hi again, a quick post to share the stitchery quilt I finished the other day, Facebook followers have been watching sneak peeks. I am tickled pink with how the quilting turned out!
Theodore Cleave graciously designed these stitcheries for Kerryn, owner operator of The Country Yard . Combined with Lynette Anderson fabrics and simple piecing hasn't this made for a lovely combination.
Whimsical stitcheries about gardening, book club and quilting using Cottage Garden & Aurifil Threads. I used a very fine thread for the cross hatching that blended to give texture but not distracting from the stitcheries.
I enjoyed the border design, a break from the feathers I so often quilt, simple swags and a match stick back fill.
I would like to say you can buy this lovely kit, but it has sold out! However you can buy the stitchery patterns!
The backing............................
Each day I feel so very lucky to have this profession..........such variety, fabrics of all kinds and styles, quilts of all styles and kinds! Stitcheries, appliques, pieced, brights, mellow, wovens, laces..............NEVER a dull moment!
