Time for a spot of reading

I am lucky to be enjoying a spot of reading from time to time, a couple of pages here and there.
A generous friend has lent this latest Elm Creek book for me to read....and so far it is great, I feel like I am there in the 1800's

  1. Ohhhhhhhhhh..there were some wonderful quilts then

  2. Hopefully I'll be next on the list to read this one...??

  3. I have just finished it-great read. She writes so well that they all feel like your friends and your are there with them. By the end of the book I felt like I had lost friends.

  4. I'm next in line for this thru the Library.I've read all her other books and really enjoy them, they are a change from the crime books I usually read. I do all my fiction reading using Library books, then I don't have to store them after I've finished them!( more room & money for fabric)

  5. Oh, I've a copy on hold at the library!
I can't wait for it to come in.
I loved "The Lost Quilter" and "Sugar Camp Quilt" (I think that was the name)and I think there was one other based on the Civil War.....hmmmm.. name slips my mind.
Time period books are my favorite.
Just finished the Fall of Giants by Ken Follet
    wonderful story.

    Have a great weekend Leanne.

  6. I just started this series and am loving it!! :o)
