The attraction of house quilts seems a strong one indeed, all quilters seem to sense a magnetic pull towards making and owning a house quilt.
What is the charm that pulls us in? Is it the lure of what a house symbolises?
A place to share with loved ones, enjoy a meal, snuggle up in front of the fire on a cold evening.
Somewhere to be yourself, to do the things that make you happy.
Flip flop about in your pajamas and slippers.
The only place you want to be when you are under the weather.
A place where you have the comfort of animals close by.
This place with the four walls might be a humble abode or something big and flashy!
Your home might be quirky, a bit different from all the rest, but it is a place you call home.
What ever the size, shape or colour of your home, these are but a few reasons we quilters feel the pull to make a house quilt.
